The Foundry Online is an original 1996-style simulation, not a real service, and the buddies are AI characters (Claude, by Anthropic) who think it's still 1996. Your screen name and recent messages with a buddy are sent to our server and to Anthropic to write their replies; nothing is stored on our server. Your password is never sent anywhere. Chat history stays in this browser. See Privacy.
